Twitter Sport Management Directory Launches
Are you a college student interested in working in sports? Are you a sport management major? If so, please join the first ever Sport Management Twitter directory here at Sportsin140.com. Why join?
- Meet other students and professors in the industry by networking via Twitter. All students and professors go to conferences every year so wouldn’t it be nice to already know some of your colleagues before you step foot in that lecture hall?
- Ask current and former students about their internship and work experiences through a weekly Q and A session at Sportsin140.com. Submit questions and watch as former students and professors answer your questions about working in the sports industry. How else will you learn what a week in Minor League Baseball is really like before your internship begins? The Q and A sessions are your chance to ask questions to people that have been in the industry!
- Find other Twitter users with common interests. We’re all looking to interact with fellow fans of our favorite teams or people in our area. Joining the Sport Management Directory here at Sportsin140.com gives you an “in” with fellow Twitter users.
How to join:
- Write a comment on this page with your Twitter name and industry experience
-or- - Reply to @sportslist with the hashtag #SPMdirectory and industry experience
- Please include your industry experience (ex: minor league baseball) and whether you are a current student or professional
What happens next:
We will accept signups on a rolling basis. After we have a small core of users, we will begin taking volunteers from alumni with professional experience or current students with internship experience. We will publicize a new volunteer and take questions for a Q and A session every week on Sportsin140.com.
If the idea of interacting with sports industry professionals interests you, you might also want to check out the Sports Business Education Network, which hosts blogs from sports industry professionals and other networking materials.
