Q & A: Paul Hemingway, Watkins Glen Int’l
Last week we launched our Sportsin140.com Sport Management directory for current and former students and professionals. This week we are pleased to announce our first Q & A session will be with Paul Hemingway, Senior Director of Sales & Marketing at Watkins Glen International Speedway in Watkins Glen, New York.
Paul Hemingway is the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing at Watkins Glen International Speedway. Paul oversees the sales, public relations, ticketing and retail departments at the historic road course and helps guide the track’s marketing efforts as they host both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and IRL IndyCar Series each summer.
Prior to joining WGI, Paul spent three years at Keuka College where he played an instrumental role in the development of a sports management concentration at the school.
A native of New Hampshire, Paul has worked in professional baseball, basketball and hockey and holds a Master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a B.A. in Communications from the University of New Hampshire.
