My name is Brendan Wilhide and I founded Sportsin140.com in March, 2009. I have four years of experience in the sports industry, most notably in public relations and media relations in Minor League Baseball.

Sportsin140.com covers the sports industry on Twitter. Our Sports on Twitter directory contains hundreds of confirmed and validated Twitter accounts for pro athletes, coaches, members of the sports media, colleges and universities, companies and more.

I founded this website after I grew frustrated at being unable to find a directory of athletes on Twitter. I set out to find out if any MLB players had Twitter accounts. When I was unable to find a list of player accounts, I started my own. I made the list public one day and the Sports on Twitter directory began. A short time later I realized that I would need a different venue to talk about sports on Twitter at length and founded Sportsin140.com.
